Guided Rock Climbing
Every guided session is built around your group. Depending on where each climber's at, the day's a mix of hands-on instruction, real climbing, and the safety basics that keep a day at the crag fun instead of stressful. Before we head out, we'll connect to figure out a plan that fits what you're after.
What to Expect
Program Structure
Every guided session is built around your group. Depending on where each climber's at, the day's a mix of hands-on instruction, real climbing, and the safety basics that keep a day at the crag fun instead of stressful. Before we head out, we'll connect to figure out a plan that fits what you're after.
What’s Included
All the general climbing gear is provided, and each climber gets their own shoes, harness, and helmet. Just note that private guided sessions don't include food - so pack a lunch, some snacks, and plenty of water.
Session Lengths
Private guided sessions run a half day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours), at any of our guided locations.
What to bring
Being outside means packing for the elements - and more layers is always safer than too few. Early mornings can start cool and chilly before rising to hot, sunny afternoons, so bring layers you can peel off as the day warms up. You'll also want a comfortable, closed-toe pair of shoes you can hike and belay in.
For food and water, pack snacks and/or a packable lunch, plus 1–2 liters of water.

Yes to both. To keep things simple, we run everything under one name and one standard rate: Guided Rock Climbing. Whether you're making the jump from gym to crag, learning to place gear and get into trad, or just after a day of hard routes, every session is tailored to your group's needs.

If the weather makes climbing a no-go (whether that's before your session or partway through), we'll offer you the option to rebook, and you'll have up to a year to use it. And if the weather keeps misbehaving weekend after weekend, we'll give you a full refund.

For half-day and full-day guided climbing, yes - we can take groups larger than six. Just give us a few weeks' notice so we can line up additional guides. For the overnight experiences, though, six is currently our max, since that's the most we can comfortably feed and house out there.

We'll be in touch at least twice before your climbing session. The first is an introduction - a chance to get to know you, learn about everyone in the group, and gather any relevant details. The second covers the specifics: exact meeting location, timing, directions, and anything extra you'll want to bring (jackets, water, and so on). So you'll always have your meeting spot and directions well before the day.

Yeah, we're qualified - and it's a good thing to ask. We take your safety seriously, so here's the short version: Andy completed the Single Pitch Instructor course and exam through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), and he holds a current First Aid certification. Beyond the paperwork, he's climbed safely in mountains around the world. You're in good hands, and keeping you safe is always the first priority.
