Bo’s Rock Climbing

It's always been Katherine and Andy's dream to build a company around their two passions: healthy living and rock climbing.

Bo's Rock Climbing started with a string of summer trips Andy took with friends in the Sierra. Inspired by lines on Charlotte Dome and Temple Crag, he decided to sharpen his craft through the AMGA, earning his first certification as a Single Pitch Instructor. He's spent the last year guiding around San Diego, backed by nearly a decade in the mountains across the US.

Bo & Friends, a branch of the business, followed shortly after, on a summer trip to Yosemite. With friends coming in from out of town, Kat and Andy handled everything - all the camping and climbing gear, the food, the know-how - so the whole group could just show up and settle into a laid-back weekend. Somewhere in there, the vision clicked: they wanted to offer that same all-encompassing experience to more than just close friends.

Because camping and climbing shouldn't mean living on granola bars and hummus. That's the idea that led Kat to build out camp meals that actually nourish you - palate and body both.

Our Principles

Rock Climbing as Meditation

We think of moving on rock as its own kind of meditation. Climbing asks for a rare, non-repetitive kind of movement that builds physical and mental strength at once, connecting mind and body as you flow up the wall. For a few hours, there's simply no room left for the daily stresses of life.

Holistic Cooking to Fuel You

We cook with a health-minded approach, using ingredients from sustainable farms both local to Oceanside, California, and across the US. We believe a cornerstone of healthy living isn't just eating well, but caring about how your food was grown and prepared in the first place.

Leave No Trace Principles

We take our impact on these places seriously. The outdoors is ours to enjoy but not to alter, so we follow Leave No Trace principles to keep every space we visit intact for the people and animals who come after us.
